Japanese ministries' arbitrary (ab)use of public comments.

In those day's budget cutting, cutted MEXT and METI began
collecting public comments.

( for example, useless super-computer constructing project,
useless time-and-budget-consuming rocket developing
projects. etc. In those bankrupting Japan. awesome. )

For collecting anti-cutting-comments, for reversing that decisions.

Don't make us fool, bastards.

They did such things before ( for media copyright fee matter etc. ),
but completely ignored public majority opinions for defending
their decisions!

Now, they intend to use those things for defending their decisions
in completely other way. They only choose their favorite opinions.

Some TV's will be banned from Calif. stores.

I was surprised to hear that news.
For restricting electric consumption, They will ban
some electricity-eater TV's from store's shelves.

Threshold is about 180-116 watts for 42-inch.
It means that at least plasma TV's will be banned.

But I will support this activity. I think those stuffs
are too much to be used in each houses.

Those days, most of makers took "high-end"
tactics. Bigger and so Higher-Priced.
This deal means that those tactics are denied socially.
They are wrong.

It may not matter, because they are already developing
"energy-efficent"new models.

But, till 2011 or 2013? That would be tough, maybe
impossible for some manufacturers. Great.

-----update 09/11/20
Would-be-banned Panasonic (plasma TV maker.) announced
new plasma TV that will reduce electricity consumption
by 40%. If it's not a magic of rhetoric, they can survive in
Calif. market. congratulation.

U.S. President's deep bow

I heard that bow to Japanese Heisei emperor raised some
criticism in some part of U.S. conservatives.

Don't get it wrong, big brothers. As some people already writes,
It's not matter of national power nor any authorities.

That means U.S. showed some symbolical courtesy,
sign of respect to Japan.

Because, as written in Japanese constitution,

"The emperor shall be the symbol of the state and of the
unity of the people".

Though many controversy for emperor exists in Japan,
It's still something official, and it means not so little.

and also U.S. President is symbol of U.S.

So, many Japanese people understand that meaning.

"Good will. We thought they sometimes acts like blute selfish
superpower superior. But now, they did it. They know courtesy.
We can respect them. So, we can expect to grow better partnership
with goodwill U.S. President. That's good for both of us. "

We thank you. and admire you, U.S. President.

Electric maker's seems-to-be desperate fundrising

Recently, I heard Some big Japanese electric maker
( NEC, Hitach, etc. ) to rise fund by multi-billion dollars.

For what?

They say, "For investing to future profittable technology
related to social-infra, such as cloud, ITS, EV, or electricity."

They think those technology-related market will grow huge.
To Hundreds of billion sales per year totally. They need it
to maintain themselves.

I'm not sure, but if they really think so, it's OK.

So when and how to beat any other rapid-boosting
foreign competitor?

5 years later? by inadaptive, defeated own domestic resources?

With their high-cost, inadaptive, unskilled ( in the
meaning of global business competitiveness ) ,
unwilling employees?

No chance. You know.

Their colleagues are very conservative. Superficially
they agree to improve, but disagree under surface.
Sometimes even hate or scared by it.

Why not? They know themselves well. Their inability.
They know they can't.

But, it may be unfair to blame them.
Because, innovation margin is running out.

By seems-never-ending competition, Innovation process
has been rapidly getting complicated and difficult. Sometimes
even some slight improve needs drastic reconstruction.
And social (economical) needs and preparation don't follow.

They must know it. don't they? But insist that they can go.
No other way. No hope.

They will succeed to rise fund. But those money will be
wasted to maintain their useless cost centers.

So sorry.

Why didn't they react to U.S. president's speech?

Yesterday, U.S. president Obama made speech in Japan.
Not so crowded, but many Japanese people including many
well-known Japanese politicians attended.
( Surprisingly, prime minister didn't. left for APEC.)

Watching that movie on Youtube, I wondered why some
part of audience didn't react (applause) to Obama's
seems-to-be grateful, even sometimes personally, warm
message to Japan and Asia.

Obama acted ordinally, but seems to be embarrassed
a little.

No, not they didn't, they couldn't.

By the lack of linguistic ability, they, though on their
highly critical position and role, couldn't even understand
what U.S. President tell them on face !

What useless scums. mmm.

[politics] Trust me? How can we trust you, poor Hirano ( and your rich boss ).

Sadly, they finished their political term too early by themselves breaking commitment.
